Join us at the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit (ASRU), one of only two units in New Zealand that is dedicated to comprehensive rehabilitation after spinal cord injury (SCI). We are a regional service and looking for a part-time allied health professional to develop and support the management of the NZ Spinal Cord Registry for patients falling within the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit’s region.

The position involves working collaboratively with staff across the acute to community continuum at Middlemore Hospital and Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit. As one of two part-time coordinators strong communication, collaboration and team approach will be essential to this position.

Priorities for this position include:

  • Ensuring data is complete, accurate and protected
  • Assist and monitor enrolment into the Registry
  • Assist in the review of data and inform the NZSCIR Governance Committee and key stakeholders as required
  • Liaise closely with the NZSCIR coordinators based in Auckland and Christchurch to further enhance the Registry
  • Develop and implement processes to manage the registry including data release
  • Support education of the purpose of the registry and its interpretation as required

Essential:

  • New Zealand Registered Allied Health Professional with a valid APC
  • At least 3 years experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Full, clean drivers’ licence

Ideal:

Experience in Spinal Cord injury or Neurological / Rehabilitation service provision
