We are seeking an experienced Eating Disorders Clinician (Nursing or Allied Health) to join the Kari Centre.

In this role, you will support the assessment, coordination, and delivery of eating disorder treatment for children and adolescents, working closely with their families/whānau. You will provide specialist consultation, coaching and support to clinical staff, while building strong relationships with regional eating disorder services and hospital teams to ensure coordinated care.

This position also offers opportunities to work across the Kari Centre, supporting children and adolescents with a wide range of secondary mental health needs.

You will:

· Partner with the Kari Centre Leadership Team to coordinate eating disorder pathways and service delivery.

· Provide specific, evidence-based eating disorder assessment and treatment for children and adolescents.

· Act as the Kari Centre's eating disorder liaison, building strong relationships across key services and networks.

· Support clinicians through consultation, supervision, advice, and training.

· Facilitate timely access to coordinated eating disorder care across primary, secondary, and tertiary services.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience working with children and young people in a mental health setting with complex presentations, including eating disorders.
  • Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills with specific eating disorder training.
  • Confidence working within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Confidence liaising with internal and external agencies to ensure best outcomes for children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Current New Zealand professional registration and a valid Annual Practising Certificate (Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, Psychologist, Child Psychotherapist)
  • A full, clean New Zealand driver licence
