About the Team/Service
Oral Health Waikato delivers publicly funded oral healthcare services to all registered and eligible children. In addition, our specialist unit provides assessment and treatment for children and adults with complex or high needs within a specialised clinical setting.
About the Role
As a Dental Assistant you will perform routine activities to support and improve oral health for patients under the supervision of a registered health professional. You will contribute to a range of additional tasks and activities that support the overall functioning of the service.
The position is predominantly based within our Specialist Unit, with the opportunity to work within community clinics as required.

About you
Required skills and experience
- NZQA certificate in Dental Assisting.
- Understanding and willingness to comply with Health New Zealand safety and infection control regulations.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- Good computer skills.
- Competency in administration including numeracy and literacy.
