About the Role

Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking the services of a CT/ General MIT trained MIT to work in our department at Taranaki Base Hospital. You would be working as part of a dynamic team.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering quality patient-centred radiographic services which are efficient and effective for the needs of the patients and the service
• Effective documentation of procedures (where appropriate)
• The support and facilitation of quality indicators/programmes
• Supervision and clinical training of Medical Imaging Students, where appropriate
• Managing daily, weekly workload across multiple CT scanning platforms
• Meeting patient needs within agreed triaged referral timeframes
• Assisting the Senior staff with the daily workflow

• We are looking forward to moving into a new department in April 2026 which will have:

2 GE APEX Revolution CT’s,4 Siemens x-ray rooms, a cone beam CT, Siemens SPECT CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound and MRI. We also have 3 satellite sites: Hawera, Stratford, Waitara.

About You:

You will work in a fast-paced environment with a caring team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and flexible person who is up for the challenge within our dynamic service in the Radiology services. You will be required to participate in a 24/7 rostered service including on call.

Your skills will include:

• Being a team player with excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
• A genuine passion for radiography. You will demonstrate this when teaching the MIT students who we host for clinical placements
• Solid experience of general imaging, preferably in a larger centre
• The ability to use initiative and assist workflow within the CT & general X- ray team
• Previous experience in CT is preferable.
• NZ Registration as a Medical Imaging Technologist with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board is essential
