About the Role
Bring your radiology expertise to a service where your work genuinely matters. Whether you’re joining us from overseas or moving within Aotearoa, you’ll be supported from day one with registration, immigration, and relocation assistance.
You’ll report a broad mix of CT, Ultrasound, and X‑Ray studies across outpatient and acute settings. As a major tertiary centre and Level 1 Trauma Hospital serving around 750,000 people, Waikato Hospital offers significant clinical variety and the chance to work with complex, rewarding cases.
We welcome radiologists with strong general reporting skills and a subspecialty interest or fellowship. Areas such as breast, neuroradiology, abdo‑pelvic, head and neck imaging and MSK can all be supported. You’ll also contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, registrar teaching, and the ongoing development of high standards within the department.

About Our Service
Waikato Hospital is one of New Zealand’s busiest tertiary centres, performing around 200,000 radiology examinations each year. Emergency, Trauma, and Oncology imaging are major focus areas, supported by a collaborative, forward‑thinking team.

About You
You bring sound clinical judgement, the ability to make effective decisions under pressure, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You value collaboration and are comfortable using data to support quality and performance.
You’ll have:
Eligibility for registration in the vocational scope of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand
Five years of postgraduate radiology training and at least two years of specialist experience
A subspecialty fellowship or interest
