About the Role

As a Physiotherapist in the Community Allied Health Services, you will deliver safe, effective and innovative care that is patient and whanau centred with a focus on improving health outcomes. You will be delivering care to the community across the Whangarei area, based in both clinic and home environments.

This role is based in at Commerce Street, with travel throughout the area required. Hours of work are to be worked between Mondays and Fridays.

About the Team/Service/Location

The Community Allied Health Services provide community based services for conditions not covered by ACC. These are short-term interventions to address mobility issues or education about physical management, including for respiratory conditions. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working alongside other health professionals to achieve the best health outcomes for the patients and community of Whangarei.

About you

We are seeking a Physiotherapist who excels in clear, effective communication across diverse communities. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to biculturalism and strive for equitable outcomes for Māori. In this role, you will confidently navigate evolving environments, making evidence-based decisions and applying sound clinical reasoning to accurately diagnose and treat patients.

  • New Zealand Physiotherapy registration with a current practicing certificate
  • Current, full NZ driver’s licence
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Suite Programs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A personal commitment to ongoing learning and development
