About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a New Zealand Registered, experienced Occupational Therapist interested in joining our Community Rehabilitation (CoRe) team and/or Community Allied Health Occupational Therapy Team. The CoRe service is a progressive, multidisciplinary service for assessment and rehabilitation for adults within the Te Toka Tumai (Auckland) District. We deliver client-centred rehabilitation in the community, clients' homes, our clinic/gym, telehealth, and in group settings. Common conditions seen; Amputees, Stroke, FND, fractured neck of femur, deconditioned clients following a lengthy hospital admission.
This full-time permanent role allows you the opportunity to be part of a comprehensive multidisciplinary team with strong professional support.
- Undertake a rehabilitation clinical caseload providing comprehensive and evidence-based care
- Work alongside your Allied Health colleagues (PTs, OTs, SLTs, Psychologists) using an interdisciplinary model to deliver high-quality and effective services
- On the job training with continuous improvement and development opportunities including a well established in-service training programmeTop of Form
We are also interested in hearing from any Occupational Therapists who may have more of an interest in supporting individuals with long term health or disability related needs as part of our broader Adult Community Service.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Community Rehabilitation (CoRe) Service is a supportive team of SLTs, PTs, OTs and Psychologists, who provide intensive, evidence-based and individualised rehabilitation, primarily for people discharging from hospital following a recent medical event and significant change in level of function. We have a strong inter-disciplinary focus and value collaborative working to deliver high quality rehabilitation. CoRe is part of our wider Adult Community Service with Occupational Therapists also working in our Allied Health, Intermediate Care and Mobility Solutions services. Our service works across two sites; Greenlane Clinical Centre and Kahui Marino (Point Chevalier).

About you
As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- A commitment to biculturalism.
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori.
- An undergraduate qualification/degree in Occupational Therapy
- New Zealand registration as an Occupational Therapist and current annual practising certificate.
- A current full car driver’s licence
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High standards of clinical practice
- An interest in and passion for rehabilitation
