About the Role
As a Community Dietitian, you’ll provide safe, effective, and culturally responsive dietetic care to patients and whānau across outpatient clinics and home visits. You’ll manage a varied caseload, delivering individualised nutritional assessments and interventions that support recovery, wellbeing, and long-term health outcomes.
This role is part of the Engage Community Allied Health Service and offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and support equity-focused care. You’ll be making a meaningful impact in the lives of people in our community while growing your own clinical and professional practice.

You’ll be based in Hastings, working within the engAGE Community Allied Health Service. The team is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care in the community, with strong connections to specialist services, Māori health teams, and other allied health professionals. About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- NZ Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practising Certificate (with prescribing endorsement).
- Master’s Degree in Dietetics or equivalent.
- Comfortable working in both clinic and home visit settings.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, whānau-centred approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a full NZ driver’s licence.
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equity and Māori health gain.
- Desired: Experience with oncology patients and home enteral nutrition; membership with Dietitians NZ.
