About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Research Study Coordinator at Auckland Regional Cancer and Blood Service, based at Auckland City Hospital.

Auckland’s Regional Cancer and Blood Service is the leading provider of cancer care in the Auckland region, serving a large and varied population of around 1.7 million people. Our busy dynamic and diverse team of clinical research professionals strive to ensure that novel therapies and clinical trials are available to our patient population both here in Auckland and across New Zealand

After a supportive training orientation, you will be working with the team to provide project management, trial co-ordination and support for the nursing team for a large portfolio of local and international research projects.

You will have the opportunity to utilize your proven skills and experience in coordinating Haematology and/or Oncology clinical trials. You will ensure the effective and ethical management of multiple Haematology and/or Oncology Clinical Trials according to Good Clinical Practice standards.

The role is permanent, full-time (40 hours per week), based at Te Toka Tumai Auckland City Hospital.

About you

As an ideal candidate, you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the tertiary health sector, along with at least 1 years’ experience in coordinating clinical trials. You must have relevant and recent experience of coordinating commercial clinical trials and some experience of coordinating non-commercial studies would be preferred.

Your motivation and positive attitude will be welcomed by the team. You will impress with your excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and proficiency in computer skills (MS Office).

You will have a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, as well as part of the multidisciplinary team.
