At Kidz First Developmental Disability Service, we provide specialist care for children with complex neurodevelopmental disabilities and developmental delays. We’re looking for a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our dedicated team and help transform lives through expert assessment and compassionate support.

What You’ll Do

  • Complete cognitive and applied neuropsychological assessments for school-aged children with possible neurodevelopmental or behavioural conditions.
  • Provide clear, insightful recommendations that guide diagnosis, clinical care, and future planning.
  • Support families and whaanau with access to Carer Support, NASC, and DSS-funded services.
  • Deliver written reports and feedback to families, schools, and support agencies—ensuring every child gets the best possible start.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Doctoral or Master’s degree in Psychology with Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (or overseas equivalent).
  • Registration with NZ Psychology Board (Clinical Scope).
  • Minimum 12 months practical experience in child-focused clinical psychology.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • A full drivers licence.

Desired:

  • Experience in paediatric hospital, child health, child development, or child mental health settings.
  • Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse families and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
