• Permanent, Part-time - 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE)

About the Role

As a Clinical Psychologist in CAFS, you’ll provide specialist psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation for tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau. You’ll deliver evidence-based therapies, including individual and group interventions, and contribute to service improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team, supporting mental health and wellbeing for young people across Hawke’s Bay.

You’ll also play a key role in promoting culturally safe practice, upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and ensuring high standards of care within a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Ngā Harakeke mai Rongokako – Child, Adolescent & Family Services is a dedicated team based at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital. We work collaboratively with whānau, schools, and community agencies to provide holistic, family-centred mental health and addiction services for young people.

About you

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will bring:

• A Master’s Degree in Psychology with NZ Psychologists Board-approved practicum/internship.
• Registration under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act with a current practising certificate.
• Clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health and addictions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity.
• Ability to deliver or willingness to train in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
