Clinical Practicum Leader - Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Location: Auckland – primarily based at Greenlane Clinical Centre, Point Chev and Auckland City Hospital
- Permanent, Part-time role 0.4 FTE / 32 hr/p fortnight (Mon-Fri) – working pattern to be confirmed

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Practicum Leader – Occupational Therapy to join our Allied Health team at Te Toka Tumai Auckland.
In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with Tertiary Education Organisations (TEOs) to maintain and develop the Auckland Clinical Centre for the Occupational Therapy profession. You’ll ensure a range of high-quality clinical placement opportunities are available for students, supporting both workforce development and excellence in patient care.
You will provide educational leadership, coaching, and mentoring to both students and staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring a positive clinical placement experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by shaping the next generation of Occupational Therapists and strengthening clinical education across Te Toka Tumai Auckland.

About you
You will be an accomplished Occupational Therapist with a passion for clinical education and a proven ability to develop and support others.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Essential:
- A relevant tertiary qualification and a current Annual Practising Certificate
- At least 7 years’ post-qualification clinical experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising or teaching students and/or staff
- Demonstrated experience implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
- A current, valid New Zealand driver’s licence
Desirable:
- Membership with a relevant professional association
- Post-graduate study in a relevant clinical area or adult education
- Experience with innovative clinical placement models (e.g., 2:1 placements)
