Health NZ Counties Manukau is a dynamic and progressive organisation at the forefront of innovative health care delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. We continue to work with others to achieve equity in key health indicators for Maaori, Pacific and communities with health disparities and will continue to develop and implement plans, based on local needs to improve the health and wellbeing of Counties Manukau region. Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park.
We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.
About the role:
The Middlemore Hospital Operating Theatre department are seeking clinical coaches to join their department and team in a dynamic and vibrant environment working in state of the art operating theatres.
Our Education Team will be dedicated to equipping and empowering our workforce to deliver the highest quality patient and whaanau care. The Education team has a primary responsibility to provide expertise and support in facilitating perioperative nursing education, clinical skills acquisition and delivery of professional development activities for multidisciplinary perioperative teams.
We have an exciting opportunity for an influential and creative individual to join us. The successful applicant will have a special interest and expertise in the area of education.
Essential:
- New Zealand Registered Nurse
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Proficient / Expert level PDRP
- 3 years’ theatre/surgical experience
- Post graduate qualification
Desirable:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Passion for people and development
- A willingness to embrace changing education models and work with other disciplines to ensure future sustainability
- A commitment to progress your own professional development in the area of education
- A willingness to teach and profile outside CMH in areas related to Theatres Technology and professional development
