About the Role:

This position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleaning service while building and sustaining strong, positive relationships with Non-Clinical Support staff and all stakeholders within the Counties Manukau District.

You will provide supervision, coaching, and training for cleaning staff across Auckland Spinal Unit, Matariki Otahuhu, and Botany Maternity. You will champion excellence in service provision, ensuring high-quality cleaning services are delivered to wards, departments, and areas in a way that aligns with our vision and values. You will also create an environment where staff feel supported, valued, and empowered.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Hours are negotiable within service requirements, based at Auckland Spinal Unit.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator, can manage a diverse team with fairness and confidence, lead by example, and make sound decisions. You should also have a good standard of computer literacy and knowledge of safe working practices in this environment.

Essential:

  • Experience in a supervisory role, directly leading a team of staff
  • Ability to lead a team through change and implement new initiatives
  • Experience using a computerised payroll/rostering system
  • Intermediate Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
