About the Role

We are looking for an inspirational and experienced Team Leader / Charge Nurse Manager to lead our Perinatal Mental Health Team.

This is an exciting time to join us as our service expands to include additional clinicians, new peer support roles, and a kaitakawaenga position. As Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the team through this period of growth and transition — fostering collaborative working relationships, integrating new perspectives, and ensuring high-quality, culturally responsive care.

Your leadership will nurture a culture of mutual respect, psychological safety, and excellence in practice. You will value and champion both cultural and clinical contributions, ensuring the team feels supported and empowered.

We are seeking someone who brings creativity, reliability, and exceptional organisational skills, along with the confidence to embrace and lead change in a fast-evolving service.

Join us and make a lasting difference for families during one of the most important times in their lives.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead and manage people, systems, processes and resources.
  • Build a high performing team that upholds the culture, values, mission and vision of the service.
  • Engage and work collaboratively with all stakeholders, particularly tāngata whaiora and whānau.
  • Strengthen our relationships and collaboration with NGO’s and hospital based services.
  • Foster a culture of openness and quality improvement, with tāngata whaiora and whānau at the centre.
  • Encourage and lead innovation and continuous improvement as part of the way we work.
