Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and innovative Senior Registered Nurses for the role of Charge Nurse working in Auckland City Hospital’s Clinical Decision Unit.

This position is required to provide clinical and professional nursing leadership and is accountable for nursing professional and practice standards. The CDU Charge Nurse shares the responsibility of the Level 2 daily flow along with AED Charge Nurse and both NUM’s AED/CDU. This role is a key member of the Level Two (Adult Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit) leadership team.

Prerequisites

  • To be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, with an Annual Practicing Certificate
  • 5+ years acute hospital experience, preferably in Acute Care
  • Post graduate studies completed or in progress
  • Proven leadership capability gained through past and present clinical or professional positions
