About the Role

As a Change Lead, you will play a critical role in delivering healthcare infrastructure projects, ensuring clinical services are effectively transitioned into new and redeveloped facilities across the Northern region.

This is a unique opportunity to join a professional and dynamic team committed to supporting clinical services throughout the facility development project management lifecycle. Health NZ’s Northern region has a commitment to significant capital investment projects over the next two years. The Change Lead role is integral to our focus on enabling the delivery of excellent clinical facilities that enhance the experience of patients and service providers.

Your extensive knowledge of health services will help establish successful relationships with relevant project managers, end-users and stakeholders to deliver on required outcomes.

The Change Lead is responsible for leading service-level change and transition planning to ensure clinical services are successfully implemented within new or redeveloped facilities, minimising disruption and maximising operational readiness.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a primary lead for the service in all matters pertaining to development or refurbishment of a clinical facility
• Partnering with project managers within the Infrastructure team
• Developing documentation including business cases, service briefs, models of care and schedules of accommodation
• Establishing and managing project work streams required to support service delivery
• Apply change management tools and project management activities to facilitate build projects
• Provide input and oversight of the disruption notice process and support colleagues to undertake operational planning as required to mitigate potential organisational risks

• Extensive knowledge of health services
• Experience establishing successful relationships with project managers, end-users and stakeholders
• Experience developing business cases, service briefs, models of care and schedules of accommodation
• Strong change management and project management skills
• Ability to lead service-level change and transition planning within healthcare environments
