About the Role
Te Toka Tumai | Auckland provides specialised acute and elective surgical procedures for adult and paediatric patients, including major trauma, general, vascular, colorectal, breast, head and neck, hepato-biliary, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, cardiac, otorhinolaryngology (ORL), ophthalmology, obstetrics, gynaecology and transplant surgery. About you
If you are a Registered Nurse with perioperative experience (Scrub/Circulate or Recovery/PACU) looking to work on a casual basis to fit around your family, study commitments or your lifestyle, this could be your opportunity to join our Temporary Staffing Bureau team.
The Bureau employs around 500 casual staff consisting of Registered Nurses, Midwives, Healthcare assistants, Mental Health assistants and Mental Health Nurses to work across Te Toka Tumai to cover planned and unplanned leave.
We provide support where the acuity is high, expertise when needed or cover in areas where recruitment needs have yet to be met.
- 2 years of perioperative experience (Scrub/Circulate or Recovery/PACU) and ready to further develop your practice within the perioperative environment.
- Having a valid APC
- Working with a multi-disciplinary team, you will need a positive attitude, an innovative and adaptable approach to practice, excellent communication skills and a real commitment to providing excellent care within the perioperative environment.
- You will be part of a high performing, tight knit and supportive team who all have a common passion, care and enthusiasm for delivering a high quality experience and outcome for our patients & whanau.
