About the Role
As a Care Associate in the Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of urgent and life-saving care. Working alongside a skilled and fast-paced clinical team, you will assist with patient care, maintain a clean and safe environment, and provide comfort and reassurance to patients and their whānau during what is often a stressful time.

Our team of emergency clinicians and support staff work collaboratively to deliver 24/7 emergency care to the Hawke’s Bay community. We are passionate about providing compassionate, responsive care in a dynamic and challenging environment.

About you
As a Care Associate, you will be compassionate, adaptable, and committed to patient wellbeing.
- Experience in a healthcare or patient support role (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
- Calm under pressure with a willingness to work in a fast-paced setting
