About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Booking Clerk to join our collaborative and supportive Women’s Health Administration team. In this fast-paced role, you will play a key part in ensuring patients receive timely and high-quality care by coordinating appointments, managing clinical information, and supporting the wider team with essential administrative services.
A significant aspect of this role involves supporting termination of pregnancy services; applicants should be comfortable working in this area.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with patients, General Practitioners (GPs), staff, and external contractors.
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the team.
- Book clinic and procedure appointments accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare clinical records for upcoming clinics.
- Manage very busy shared email inboxes.
- Assist with additional tasks as required by the line manager.
- Remain adaptable and responsive to changing priorities.

Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital in Hamilton and is a leading tertiary teaching hospital located in Hamilton, New Zealand, serving as the regional hub for the Midland area, which includes the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki districts.
