We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Clinical Charge Nurse (ACCN), to join our Hyperbaric team based in Devonport. Our Service is a specialist unit providing oxygen therapy for patients across the whole of the North Island. We treat a variety of acute and elective patients inside a chamber under pressure.
Our nursing staff deal with complex wound management, and managing and assessing patients prior to treatment. They play a critical role in the care of patients post diving accidents. If you enjoy working in a niche environment this could be the role for you.
Elective patients often have 6 weeks of treatment lasting approx. 2hours, Acute patients such as divers with the “bends” have on average two to three treatments. You will build a strong rapport with patients over this time
We work closely with other health care providers and have a holistic approach to the patient care.
To be considered for this position, the following will be required:
- Registered Nurse in New Zealand with current APC.
- At least 5 years in a clinical practise role with some experience of hyperbaric medicine an advantage.
- Current and up to date portfolio demonstrating competency in practice at Level 3 or 4.
