Our Paediatric Perioperative Services has an opportunity for an experienced Anaesthetic technician/RNAA/perioperative practitioner to join our Perioperative Team
About the Team
Our Paediatric Operating Rooms at Starship Child Health provides Acute Emergency Trauma and elective Surgical procedures in the paediatric specialties of General, Complex Neonatal, Thoracic, Urology, Endoscopy, Oncology, ORL, critical airway management, head and Neck, Dental, Spinal, Orthopaedics, Sarcoma, Plastics and cardiac.
Our Anaesthetic Technicians also provide paediatric anaesthesia support to Tamariki undergoing GA procedures in Radiology, CT, MRI, CIR Radiotherapy and Angio suite
About you
As the ideal person for this role, you will:
- Be an Anaesthetic Technician/ODP/RNAA/Perioperative practitioner and will either have or be eligible for registration with the medical Sciences Council of new Zealand and/or New Zealand Nursing Council
- Experience as an Anaesthetic Technician/ RNAA
- Strong clinical judgement and ability to remain calm in high pressured situations
- Have well-developed communication, critical thinking skills and a commitment to Mokopuna and Whanau centred care
- Commitment to improving Maori health outcomes and embedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Ability to develop collaborative working partnerships across a multidisciplinary team
- Have a strong commitment to quality healthcare
