About the Role

As the Allied Health Professional in the Chronic Pain team you will carry a clinical outpatient case load, be involved in assessment and treatment of patients independently and with other professionals, this could be face to face, telehealth and in group settings. You will be involved in leading quality improvement and service development initiatives as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will work closely with the wider chronic pain team to manage the patients journey and ensure they are receiving efficient, patient-centred care as well as work with the wider multidisciplinary teams.

The role is open to Allied Health Professionals (Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists) holding an Annual Practicing Certificate and based in the chronic pain team.

You will be joining a chronic pain team made up of a psychologist, chronic pain nurse and pain consultants.

About You

You will be an experienced Allied Health Professional with a strong foundation in chronic pain management and a commitment to delivering person centred care. You bring a collaborative approach to practice and work effectively within interdisciplinary teams to support improved outcomes for patients living with complex pain conditions.

What you will bring:

  • Current registration with the relevant New Zealand Allied Health Professional regulatory board and a valid Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum of five years postgraduate clinical experience, including at least two years working within chronic pain
  • Relevant postgraduate training and a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Experience working within interdisciplinary teams
  • Involvement in service development and quality improvement initiatives
