The Opportunity:
Gain valuable real-life experience & insights through the role of advanced clinician social worker based at Middlemore Hospital. You will contribute in the provision of client-focused care as part the interdisciplinary team for clients and their families/whaanau who are in our inpatients on our Health of Older People and General rehabilitation wards.
To be considered for this position, you will need to have experience in assessment, planning and counselling skills enabling you to work with a diverse client group. It would be desirable to understand health and disability issues relating to older people and the services available to them.
The team offers a supportive environment where there is a commitment to regular professional supervision and staff development. You will also have access to rehabilitation focused learning, along with other benefits such as our Work Perks scheme.
Essential:
- New Zealand Social Work registration with Annual Practising Certificate
- A minimum of 6 years post qualification experience
- Working towards a masters or higher qualification
- Experience in teaching, mentoring and coaching
- Professional supervision experience
- Full current driver's licence
