About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced professional with strong leadership, administration, and reception management skills to join our growing Cardiology Service at Middlemore Hospital.

As the Administration Team Leader for the Cardiac Investigations Unit, you will play a key role in leading the day-to-day operations of the administration team, ensuring efficient coordination of outpatient and procedure appointments while maintaining high standards of service delivery.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing effective leadership and operational management of the administration team
• Optimising clinic and procedure bookings to maximise utilisation
• Supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives within Counties Cardiology
• Acting as a change champion to drive performance, quality, and improved patient outcomes

About you:

You are a confident communicator and people-focused leader who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment. You can build strong relationships across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders and patients from diverse backgrounds.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years recent experience in a relevant healthcare setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience managing and supervising staff within a service-focused environment
• Strong initiative, motivation, and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
• The ability to lead positively and contribute to outstanding patient experiences
