Administration Coordinator - Community Nursing - Fixed Term

Fixed Term for 1 year. (6 FTE.)
We have a permanent part-time position available for an Administration Coordinator with the Community Nursing Service, Health New Zealand, Hawke’s Bay.

About the Role
The responsibilities of an Administration Coordinator include supporting our Nursing teams with administration tasks, while they are visiting patients in the community or clinic settings, as well as utilising your customer service skills to support patients and their families who require care by the Nursing teams. You will utilise your customer service skills either face to face, at reception or via telephone, relaying patient and family messages to the nurses, and booking clinic appointments. Data entry skills are an important aspect of the role to ensure the services have timely information available to function smoothly. The work is varied, rewarding and interesting. This a wonderful opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in a supportive team environment while enhancing your knowledge of the provision of health care in the community setting.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The wider Community Nursing Service teams consist of the District Nursing teams in Napier and Hastings, the Continence, Ostomy, Better Breathing Hawkes Bay (providing respiratory and heart failure rehabilitation and Community Oxygen Therapy) and the Wound and Community Clinical Nurse Specialist teams, as well as Clinical Nurse Coordinators, Health Care Assistants and administration team. The services are based at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital and Napier Health Centre. Referrals are received from the primary, secondary and tertiary health sectors.
