Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge in a very busy hospital setting? 
We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Senior Physiotherapy team within our Inpatient Orthopaedics & Elective Surgery Centre at North Shore Hospital. You will be working as part of an inter-disciplinary team providing quality early assessment and intervention, advice and discharge planning through a patient centred approach.  
 
This role will complement our strong team of acute medical and surgical Physiotherapists and will provide an opportunity to work alongside our clinical leaders, senior clinicians and clinical coaches. You will share your leadership skills by leading, mentoring and fostering clinical and service development within our team.
 
Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand Waitematā is leading the way in digital innovation with electronic patient notes, e prescribing and e-vitals as well as strong links with our community and outpatient services.
 
Key skills and attributes for this role: (see link to PD below for full details)
 
• New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with current APC
• 5+ years relevant inpatient experience, preferably Orthopaedic and surgical patients.
• Previous leadership/senior role experience
• Provide clinical leadership and support while working as part of our Physiotherapy weekend and on-call roster
• Experience with student supervision
• Strong role modelling, teaching, advanced communication, leadership and coaching skills to work alongside staff to support and develop their clinical reasoning and autonomy.
• Experience in service development and quality improvement projects.
 
Within this role you will receive Professional and Clinical Leadership development 
This will include:
 
• Support and development of your personal and professional objectives 
• Education to be able to provide staff with professional development
• Learning opportunities to foster service development and leading quality care
• Training to provide professional supervision to staff
• Credentialing for weekend work: 3 weekend days/3-month roster
• Weekly in-service training
• Networking with clinical leaders, seniors and staff grades across the organisation
• Regular individual professional supervision for support and mentoring
• Opportunities to be involved in teaching and training for non-Allied Health staff 
• Opportunities to implement and develop new patient care models and service development.

• Dedicated salary step DA3: $117,420
