About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the Point of Care Team to effectively complete all tasks required to provide a quality service, both at Health NZ Waitematā including external and rural clinics. You will act as a resource and provide advice for Health NZ Waitematā in relation to Point of Care. You will also be responsible for the oversight of Real Time Temperature Monitoring, which monitors all temperature sensitive storage areas for Waitematā sites. As the Coordinator you will incorporate leadership with service delivery, ensuring best practise is adhered to and ISO 15189:2022 standards are met.

About you

To be eligible for this role, you will have:

  • registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with a current annual practising certificate issued by the NZMSC
  • a minimum of five years hospital laboratory experience
  • a demonstrated understanding and involvement in maintaining quality standards in particular ISO 15189:2022
  • excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • previous responsibility for training
  • an understanding of the direction and benefits of Point of Care
