KidzFirst Children's Hospital is purpose built to deliver family centred health care and serve the culturally diverse Counties Manukau community. The hospital's design meets not only the medical care needs but also the developmental, emotional and social needs of children, young people and their families.

KidzFirst specialises in paediatric inpatient and acute medical care that is centered round family/whanau. They also have Paediatric inpatient surgical services; acute and elective orthopaedic services, plastic surgery services (including a specialist Paediatric Burns Unit) and otorhinolaryngeal services. In addition, there is a newborn neonatal unit which offers level I, II and III services for neonates
