Exciting Opportunity: Senior Leadership Role in Community Rehabilitation Services

Join our dynamic team at Health New Zealand, Te Toka Tumai, one of the largest health providers in the country, serving approximately 1.6 million people. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Allied Health Professional to lead our Community Rehabilitation Services team.

Role Overview:

In this position, you will provide clinical leadership and operational management to our interdisciplinary adult rehabilitation team. You will play a key role in supporting clients transitioning from hospital to home following significant health events, ensuring they receive comprehensive rehabilitation through both our responsive Community Based Rehabilitation Service and our Early Supported Discharge (ESD) program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Community Rehabilitation Services, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Oversee the ESD program, delivering intensive rehabilitation in a community setting.
  • Contribute to the clinical governance and strategic direction of Adult Community Services.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and engage your team in enhancing service delivery.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

We are looking for a NZ registered Allied Health professional with:

· 5+ years previous leadership experience in Allied Health and/or Clinical experience in rehabilitation

· Working towards or completed relevant clinical or management Postgraduate / Master’s degree or equivalent

· Strong leadership and clinical expertise recognized by peers.

· Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

· A commitment to improving patient outcomes and team engagement.

· Effective time management, flexibility, prioritisation and organisation skills
