About the role:

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Team Manager to join our leadership team and embrace the privilege of leading and supporting Te Rawhiti – adult community mental health team. This is a full-time position covering Monday to Friday.

This role will be providing operational management and leadership for the adult community mental health team through the utilisation of best management practice and effective leadership. This role reports to the Service Manager Pacific Mental Health & Addiction Integrated Care North with responsibility to the Clinical Head ensuring clinically safe service delivery.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Te Rawhiti Adult Community Mental Health team is based at Highland Park and provides specialist assessment, treatment and support for adults (18+) experiencing moderate to severe mental health or addiction challenges.

The multi-disciplinary team offers a range of clinical and support services and serves the Pakuranga, Howick, Botany, Maraetai and Clevedon suburbs within vibrant South Auckland.

About you:

As a Team Manager you will have leadership experience in health service delivery, operations and financial management and a strong commitment to improving the experience of tangata whaiora and whaanau who access our services. You will also have:

  • Competence in leading and managing clinical staff
  • Staff management and development skills
  • Sound understanding of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural competencies required in the service
