About the Role
Counties Manukau District provides primary care and screening services to UN HCR Quota Refugees residing at the Mangere Refugee Resettlement Centre / Te Āhuru Mōwai o Aotearoa.
The Practice (Operations) Manager – Mangere Refugee Health is responsible for the day-to-day management of Mangere Refugee Health Service. The position reports to the Manager, Community Health Services, Northern Region, and works closely with on-site providers such as the Ministry of Business and Innovation and Employment, Immigration New Zealand, Ministry of Social Development, Auckland University of Technology and other NGO’s.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday and based at 251, Massey Road, Mangere East.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with experience in a management role within the health sector. Ideally, you will have experience managing health services within a primary healthcare setting and have had responsibility for staff and budget management. While not essential, a clinical background is preferred.
You will have excellent communication skills with an ability to make positive changes while working within an established budgetary and financial framework. You will be responsible for the facilitation and provision of the highest quality of care for patients and their families through effective staff leadership and service delivery.
