Senior Physiotherapist - Burns and Plastics
0.5FTE, fixed term parental leave cover position available until January 2027

We are seeking experienced, client focussed Physiotherapist with a passion for burns to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team at Te Whatu Ora - Counties Manukau District.
The ideal candidate will have, burns and plastics/scar management experience, and hand therapy/splinting skills. We are looking for an innovative compassionate therapist to work with our supportive the team to deliver best practice holistic care rehabilitating our adult and paediatric burn patients to reach their goals and reintegrate into their community.
This position provides a fantastic opportunity to practice in a specialised environment with access to experienced senior therapists to support you. You will be working with a supportive multidisciplinary team in the well-respected National Burn Centre. The National Burn Centre is a state-of-the-art facility which opened in June 2006, taking patients with burn injuries from all around New Zealand.
Our team has a well-established tutorial and in-service programme which promotes continuous learning for all staff.
Essential:
- NZ Registered Physiotherapist with a valid Annual Practising Certificate
- Minimum 5 years previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people
- Ability to take directions and good communication skills
- Computer skills
- Full driver's licence
