The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dietitian to join our close-knit and innovative team. The role will be based within the Inpatient Adult Team at Middlemore Hospital, covering a range of general medical wards and potentially outpatient clinics.

The ideal applicant will be self-motivated, thrive in a flexible and challenging environment, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to think creatively. You should also be efficient in time management and enjoy working both independently and as part of a strong, quality-focused team. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to dietetic student training and participate in service development and project work.

The employment package includes reimbursement for your annual practicing certificate, support towards the cost of your Dietitians New Zealand subscription, and a personal study allowance. We are committed to your professional growth and provide regular professional development opportunities, practice reviews, performance development planning, and ongoing professional supervision.

Essential:

• BCapSc or BSc, and Post Grad Dip Diet or MSc Dietetics (or equivalent as recognised by the NZ Dietitians Board).
• NZRD with current annual practicing certificate endorsed with prescribing rights
• A minimum of 5 years clinical experience and knowledge of dietetic practice
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Cultural awareness and understanding
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic

Desired:

• Research Experience
• Clinical teaching experience
• Experience with professional supervision
