The Opportunity
Are you passionate about learning and professional development within the Allied Health, Scientific, and Technical (AHST) workforce, with strengths in communication and networking?
The People and Professional Development team is seeking a dynamic and innovative Allied Health Educator to support AHST staff. In this role, the Allied Health Educator will engage with a diverse range of Counties Manukau staff, including AHST professional leaders and managers.
Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and delivering training and other professional development opportunities for the AHST workforce. You will proactively engage with the workforce, finding new and creative ways to involve the broader AHST community in building capability. You will also coordinate workforce-related projects, ensuring stakeholder needs are met within available resources.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in leading and/or delivering professional development activities in a healthcare environment. You must be a registered Allied Health, Scientific, or Technical practitioner, or a member of the relevant professional body if registration is not applicable.
This position is available on a permanent, part-time basis, working Monday to Friday, and is based at Middlemore Hospital.
Essential:
- Registered Allied Health, Scientific or Technical practitioner, or member of professional body if registration is not applicable
- Hold a current APC if applicable
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
- Experience in leading/delivering professional development activities in a healthcare environment
- Project coordination experience
- Full, clean driver’s licence
