We are seeking a client focussed Occupational therapist with a passion for burns plastics paeds and scar management to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team at Counties Manukau District.

This is a fixed term role on the OT rotation with the current vacancy in the burns, plastics and paediatric team. Ideally the candidate will have, some burns and plastics/scar management experience, and hand therapy/splinting skills. However, training will be provided.

This position provides a fantastic opportunity to practice in a specialised environment with access to experienced senior therapists to support you. You will be working with a supportive multidisciplinary team in the well-respected National Burn Centre. The National Burn Centre is a state-of-the-art facility which opened in June 2006, taking patients with burn injuries from all around New Zealand.

Our team has a well-established tutorial and in-service programme which promotes continuous learning for all staff.

Essential:

  • NZ Registered Occupational Therapist with a valid Annual Practising Certificate
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people
  • Ability to take directions and good communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Full driver's licence
