As a Developmental Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless, whaanau‑centred care from referral through to intervention. You will coordinate assessments, gather information, support families to navigate the system, and help shape developmental plans that reflect each child’s unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate developmental care by gathering information from multiple agencies and supporting diagnostic and intervention processes.
- Support whaanau to understand referral pathways, participate in planning, and maintain their child’s developmental plan.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary care, including scheduling assessments, liaising with internal and external providers, and ensuring smooth transitions between services.
- Contribute to service quality, including audits, feedback processes, and policy development.
- Build strong partnerships with community agencies, education providers, NGOs, and disability support organisations.
- Model culturally safe practice and uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
About You:
- NZ Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- 5+ years relevant experience in NZ (post registration)
- Recent experience and knowledge relevant to child development
- Experience in care coordination
- Clean and full NZ driver’s licence
