About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Administrator to join our team at Te Āhuru Mōwai o Aotearoa | Mangere Refugee Resettlement Centre. In this pivotal role, you will be the welcoming first point of contact for refugees, playing a crucial part in shaping positive patient experiences. You will:
- Coordinate and prioritize clinic services and workflows
- Manage patient expectations with empathy and clarity
- Support the clinical team by ensuring access to necessary resources and information
- Handle reception duties and assist with specific administrative tasks as needed
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position with no on-call or out-of-hours work required. Free on-site parking is provided.
About You
You are an organized, flexible, and innovative administrator with a passion for supporting diverse communities. Ideally, you have experience working with refugee populations and a strong understanding of their unique healthcare needs. You thrive in a team environment and are committed to fostering trust and confidence in the New Zealand health system.
You bring:
- 2-3 years of administrative experience in health, preferably in general practice or urgent care
- Experience working with culturally diverse or refugee patients
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, empathetic approach
- The ability to adapt and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
