Allied Health Team Leader - Mangere/Otara Locality, Community Health Services

Full Time, Fixed Term until July 2027 - covering parental leave

The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Allied Health professional to join our Otara/Mangere community team in a leadership capacity. This is a diverse and rewarding role where you will provide operational, clinical, and people leadership to support high-quality, client-centred care within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide line management and day-to-day leadership of the Allied Health team
• Deliver operational oversight to ensure effective, efficient, and equitable service delivery
• Offer clinical leadership to support staff development and excellence in practice
• Promote interdisciplinary models of care and a strong reablement focus
• Support service development and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Foster a positive team culture with open communication and collaboration

About You
You are a confident and capable leader with a strong clinical background and a passion for community-based care. You bring a collaborative approach and have a proven ability to lead teams, develop services, and manage resources effectively.

Essential

• Registration with a recognised Allied Health professional body in New Zealand and a current APC
• Minimum 6 years’ clinical experience in a relevant health setting
• Recent experience working in a community or rehab setting
• Experience in development and management of staff
• Full, clean driver’s licence

Desirable

• Previous experience managing Allied Health teams
• Demonstrated success in leading quality improvement initiatives
• Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant clinical or health leadership field
