Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and innovative therapy assistant with the Hāpaitia roopu.
Working as therapy assistant within the Hāpaitia roopu, you will be part of a dynamic, enthusiastic, positive and passionate multi-disciplinary team. As a member of this team, you will complete comprehensive needs assessments and collaborate in the setting of the patients care plan.
You will provide diversional therapy care, activities and expertise, both in direct patient care and in support of other staff caring for patients on the Hāpaitia (behaviours of concern) pathway.
In this role you will be:
- Enhancing mana, support and safety for all patients and staff around the Hāpaitia pathway.
- Patients with Behaviours of Concern are assessed as having a range of behaviours which may include: risk of suicide/self-harm, pulling out of medical lines/tubes, impulsivity, using verbal or physical abuse or threatening others, mildly agitated and wandering etc.
