Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

Are you a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 12 months’ recent experience in PACU, ED, ICU or an acute surgical setting? Or a New Zealand registered Anaesthetic Technician with expanded scope in PACU? Here is an exciting opportunity for you to work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary perioperative team.

Our Greenlane Surgical Unit offers elective surgical services for day and overnight stay for a variety of specialities for both Adults and Paediatrics, including: Paediatric & adult Ophthalmology, Dental, ORL, General Surgery, paediatric , some adult Orthopaedics and adult Gynaecology and Urology.  We have an overnight inpatient facility provided onsite. Within the department there is a large Post Anaesthetic Care Unit which has 1st stage, Stage 2 PACU area, and lazy boy rooms.  We also have a day of admission unit with paediatric and adult areas that PACU staff rotates through.

 Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

You are an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician ready to hone your acute skills and critical decision making. You will already have at least one year’s recent experience working in PACU / Recovery or high acuity surgical nursing, preferably  in Aotearoa New Zealand and  be ready to further develop your practice within the perioperative environment.

You will be part of a high performing, tight knit and supportive team who all have a common passion, care and enthusiasm for delivering a high quality experience and outcome for our patients.
