Nurse Educator Role (Counties Manukau Health)

People and Professional Development

0.5 FTE Permanent Part Time

 

We are looking for an individual to join us, who is committed to the development of staff, and has a strong a focus on working closely with Adult Rehabilitation and Health of Older People (ARHOP) services. This role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident and competent individual and is based within the People and Professional Development Team

 

The person we are seeking will bring a strong understanding of the needs of the workforce in ARHOP as well as leadership and a focus on quality through development of staff. You will also work closely with and be part of the educator team providing support to the wider organisation.

 

This role is diverse, and the nurse educator will provide support to both acute and rehabilitation services. They will contribute to the development and delivery of training and education to all the wider the workforce.  

 

The successful candidate will work as part of the Professional Development Team for MH/ ARHOP and Community Health.

 

The successful applicant will:

  • Be a registered nurse with a current APC
  • Post Graduate qualifications
  • Full clean drivers licence
  • Minimum four years clinical experience
  • Proficient level nurse demonstrating leadership
  • Be a skilled and credible practitioner
  • Welcoming, friendly, gentle and encouraging
  • Experience in delivering professional development and learning activities
  • Be able to empower, facilitate and support development in others
  • Be a confident and effective communicator
  • Be able to create effective working relationships across a variety of arenas
  • Always strive to improve standards of practice & be enthusiastic about new ideas
  • High levels of cultural awareness
