We are seeking an experienced housekeeper to join our friendly Pt Chevalier based teams.
Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre (BRC) is a recovery-focused open 40 bed inpatient rehabilitation service for people aged 18-65 years (whaiora) who are experiencing severe mental illness. BRC is an open unit promoting progression to autonomous living in the community. The BRC clinical team support people with their rehabilitation needs and reintegrating back to the community with a strong emphasis on assisting individuals to gain independence with activities of daily living.
The Assertive Community Outreach Service (ACOS) is a multi-disciplinary, community-based outreach mental health service located next door to Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre. ACOS provides assertive treatment and support and operate seven days a week.
There are three housekeepers who work across both services Monday to Friday 0700 to 1530. There is also a requirement to work one in three Saturdays. These roles are important in ensuring both services are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness that complies with accepted hospital and clinical standards. Our aim is to provide a clean, pleasant, welcoming and comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors.
You will bring previous experience in a housekeeping/cleaning role ideally in a health or hotel setting and have a full, lean NZ Driver’s License. We will need you to be able to drive our fleet cars, all of which are automatic You will have excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working in a mental health setting.
