Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Delivery Support Clerk to join our experienced team based on-site at Auckland City Hospital. As a member of the supply chain team you will:

·        Provide a distribution service to all customers both external and internal, that will be responsive, efficient and timely

·        Sort and organize goods delivered for internal distribution throughout the hospital environment

·        Receive and receipt incoming goods in an accurate and timely manner and pass on to the distribution team and DHB customers

·        Organize and arrange stock within our inwards goods area to maintain a safe operating space

·        Effectively communicate with various DHB staff to assist with queries both telephonically and by walk-in

·        Liaise with suppliers as required regarding goods to be returned and process of documentation

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

Ka kawea e koe | You will bring:

·        3 years of secondary education preferred

·        1-2 years driving experience including holding a current, valid class 1 license comfortable to drive a van

·        Familiarity with the warehousing environment including general stock control, experience using ERP systems advantageous

·        Ability and willingness to learn and follow internal processes and best practice appropriate to the handling of goods

·        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·        Physically fit and able to complete the required duties of the role

·        Good track record of safe work practice

·        A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions. This includes an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this role  

·        Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
