Are you a registered Clinical Psychologist who is looking for a rewarding career working with older people in a supportive environment? 

 

The Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) at Counties Manukau Health is a multi-disciplinary Mental Health service, consisting of an inpatient ward and community team, and is specifically tailored to those aged 65 years and over, although people under this age are sometimes seen as appropriate.

 

We are seeking a registered Clinical Psychologist who is dedicated to providing a comprehensive, integrated and progressive service to older people affected by mental illness. Skills we are looking for include psychological and neuropsychological assessment, evidence based therapies, safety planning, behavioural planning, trauma work, liaison with aged care provider as well as care coordination for service users receiving interventions.

 

You will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team to provide your clinical expertise and enhance service user’s outcome. Furthermore, there will be opportunity to expand your clinical skills and knowledge across the range of psychological assessments and therapies.

Essential:
  • Registered Psychologist in New Zealand in a Clinical Scope of Practice, with current APC
  • Current NZ driver's licence
  • Previous experience within a relevant clinical setting, with 2 years postgraduate experience preferred
