Are you looking for flexible working hours? The opportunity to be co-located with a wide range of Allied Health professionals? Do you have the desire to work alongside clients throughout their health journey? We are looking for qualified casual physiotherapists to join our physiotherapy team at Waitematā.

This role is based at Waitakere and North Shore Hospitals. It offers the opportunity to provide clinical service to inpatients within the acute medical, orthopaedics, assessment treatment and rehabilitation wards, as well as outpatients and community. You will be working as part of an established inter-disciplinary team covering an array of conditions while providing quality assessment and intervention, advice and discharge planning, through a patient-centred approach. You will be joining an organisation that is forward thinking, innovative and values your contributions.

This casual position is well suited to those already working part-time who want non-permanent additional hours and the flexibility that a casual contract offers; or to those wishing to keep their clinical experience current but who may not wish to be committed to permanent contracted hours e.g. those who are studying part-time or who need flexible/school hours secondary to childcare commitments.

Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā is leading the way in the Northland region in digital innovation with electronic patient notes, e-prescribing and e-vitals and have strong links with our community and outpatient services.

Within this role you will receive:

Key requirements for this role: (see link to PD below for full details)

  • New Zealand registered Physiotherapist
  • 2+ years of recent inpatient experience
  • Ability to lead, support and mentor / supervise junior staff
  • Experience with student supervision
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, great communication and fast thinking
