About the Role

This role is a permanent, full time, opportunity. Working Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 16:30 PM Working between Grafton hospital and Greenlane Clinical Centre. This role will allow you the opportunity to display your leadership skills, build relationships and grow your knowledge base within the organisation, in order to support our surgical bookings team.

About the Team/Service/ Location

We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.

We are part of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.

About you

This position will suit a motivated individual with a proactive approach and a high level of initiative. As the ideal person for the role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven previous experience in a supervisory, coordination or management role
  • Be a team player, demonstrating the ability to build good internal and external, longstanding relationships
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, as our work environment is vastly diverse.
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure
  • Strong time management skills, needed for competing priorities and maintaining a good work life balance
  • Resilient and have a great sense of humour – as some days you might need it.
