About the Role

As a Store Person within the Supply Chain team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of medical and non-medical supplies across Health NZ - Te Whatu Ora Hawke’s Bay. From receiving and dispatching inventory to managing stock rotation and supporting departmental needs, your work will directly contribute to safe and effective healthcare delivery.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be part of a fast-paced environment, helping maintain tidy and well-organised storerooms, responding to service requests, and ensuring timely deliveries. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team and have the opportunity to make a real impact on the day-to-day operations of our health services.

About the Team/Service/ Location

You’ll be joining the Supply Chain team based in Hawke’s Bay, reporting to the Distribution Team Leader. The team is responsible for warehousing, inventory management, and distribution across the district. With a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement, this is a great environment for someone who enjoys physical work, problem-solving, and being part of a supportive and responsive team.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • General warehousing experience and familiarity with inventory systems and processes.
  • A current Class 1 driver’s licence (Forklift licence desirable).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg, kneel, squat, and climb stairs.
  • Proven computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems).
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equity.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
