Health NZ Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is looking for an enthusiastic Store person to join our established and supportive Supply Chain team at Whakatāne Hospital.

As a Store person, you’ll play an important role in ensuring wards, departments and services have the supplies they need to deliver high quality care to our patients. Your contribution will help keep our hospital running smoothly every day.

If you have supply chain, warehousing or stores experience, enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in providing an efficient and reliable service, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a 1.0 FTE permanent full time position, based at Whakatāne Hospital.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys being part of a busy team.

You’ll be someone who takes pride in providing great service, can stay on top of competing priorities, and enjoys a role where no two days are quite the same.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Good clerical and numerical skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills.
  • A self motivated and positive approach, with the ability to work well as part of a busy team.
  • A good level of fitness, as the role involves regularly lifting and moving items.
  • A full driver’s licence and a history of safe driving.
  • A forklift operator licence, or a willingness to gain certification in the role.
  • Previous experience in a distribution, warehousing or supply chain environment is desirable.
  • Experience using FPIM Oracle is desirable, but not essential.

Most importantly, you’ll bring a can do attitude, a strong work ethic and a commitment to providing a reliable service to our hospital teams. If you enjoy practical, hands on work and want to make a difference by helping keep our hospital services running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.
