Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
As the Stem Cell Transplant Quality Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for coordinating, planning and maintaining all quality management aspects of the stem cell transplant program. You will be involved in improving key processes, policies and procedures as they relate to compliance with the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT). Some of your key responsibilities include liaising with NZBS, preparing regular meeting schedule, completing audits of clinical and program workflow processes as well as documentation of processes to ensure all policy /standards and requirements are met. You will also continue to learn to grow as you integrate with the clinical team, participate in meetings/ lectures.
You will be a part of the Haematology Service at Auckland City Hospital. This includes the regional Bone Marrow Transplant service that covers Northland and the greater Auckland region for autologous and allogeneic transplants and includes the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes and Tairawhiti DHB’s for additional allogeneic transplant catchment.
Your collaborative approach to relationship building between concerned departments, units, hospitals and healthcare centres, FACT and international bone marrow transplant registries are key to your success in this role.

- Quality assurance/ management experience.
- Bachelors qualification in health.
- Considerable professional experience in the health sector, experience in clinical study research preferred.
- Demonstrable ability to develop and implement quality measures across hospital programs.
- Understanding and maintain safe cultural practice and willingness to further develop your cultural knowledge.
- Proven excellent supervisory, time management, communication and problem-solving skills are essential in order to relate to and work with staff at all levels
